About Me

I am a professional banjo player who works for the iconic Bluegrass musician, Larry Sparks. I offer online lessons as well and always enjoy meeting new students and passing on what I have learned. I went to college at East Tennessee State University and earned my degree in Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country music studies. I now travel around the country performing the music that I love and furthering the influence of my Appalachian heritage.

Teaching Style

I tailor my lessons to fit each students' desires, whether they are looking to learn clawhammer banjo, scruggs style banjo, or even guitar. We will meet over Skype or Zoom for a thirty minute lesson, during which I will teach you a song or give you some tips and tricks to further your own playing. Music should always be fun so I try to make sure that is always the point of playing the banjo or guitar through my lessons. My lessons are also non-expirable so if you are not able to do a lesson one week, then you do not lose that lesson. It will still be waiting for you whenever you are able. This allows you to learn at your own pace and comfort.
