The inaugural Fiddle & Fork Festival is a weekend-long celebration of 250 years of Blue Ridge music and foodways.
The Virginia Folklife Program of Virginia Humanities is presenting a luthier’s demonstration with 2026 apprenticeship artists Jackson Cunningham and Raistlin Braistlin, together with Mac Traynham, alumnus of the program. Special guests and master guitar builders Wayne Henderson and his daughter Jayne Henderson, also Folklife Apprenticeship alumni, will also be sharing their work.
Fiddle & Fork is presented by the Blue Ridge Music Center and The Bluffs Restaurant as part of “Of the People: The Smithsonian Festival of Festivals,” a series of programs and exchanges marking the 250th anniversary of the United States and showcasing the nation’s remarkable cultural landscape.
