The 9th Annual Virginia Czech-Slovak Folklife Festival honors the cultural heritage of thousands of immigrants from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, and other Eastern European countries who chose to build their lives in Prince George County after the American Civil War. Through the festival’s music, dance, crafts, costume, and food, we celebrate the rich traditions, agricultural history, family ancestry, and lasting impact of this community on the region.

The event and parking are free.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the new Volunteer Fire and Emergency Crew Museum on the Heritage Center campus.

The festival is made possible in part by a grant from Virginia Humanities.
