Last summer Sherman Holmes was interviewed by Talia Schlanger on WXPN‘s World Cafe about his first-ever solo album, The Richmond Sessions. And if you missed the original broadcast you’ll have another chance to hear a one-of-a-kind interview.
Thursday, February 8, the full interview will be aired again in an encore broadcast. The session, recorded at In Your Ear Studios in Richmond, features Almeta Ingram-Miller, Cora Harvey Armstrong, Jared Pool, and Jon Lohman who join Sherman on cuts from the album, including this gem.
Schlanger takes time to discuss Holmes’ upbringing, his life-long relationship with music and the legacy of the Holmes Brothers. Sherman’s segment will air in the second hour of the program.

TUNE IN: World Cafe can be heard on more than 200 stations nationwide. Fans can tune in to Charlottesville’s WNRN, Norfolk’s WHRV and Radford’s WVRU.
