We had a great opening at the Floyd Country Store last night for our Apprenticeship Program gallery. Many past masters and apprentices showed up, including Buddy Pendleton and his apprentice Aila Wildman, master mandolin player Herschel Sizemore, master banjo builder Olen Gardner, contest emcee and the voice of Galax Harold Mitchell, greenwood worker Danny Wingate and his apprentice Sam Linkous. The Dry Hill Draggers played an amazing set and the dance floor saw plenty of use.

Pat Jarrett’s photos will be hanging on the second floor at the store until late October, so go over and spend some time with photos of some of our favorite people. Thanks again to Dylan Locke and the Floyd Country Store for everything!
